FortressForesight helps homebuyers and homeowners search property risk information, organize home records, prepare for disruptions, and track recovery after damage or loss. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information We Collect

• Account information. If you create or use an account, we collect your email address and account identifiers through Firebase Authentication.
• Property and app content. We may collect property addresses, saved properties, checklist progress, notes, contacts, recovery logs, claim-related notes, calendar event details, inventory entries, and files or photos you upload.
• Usage and technical information. We may collect device, browser, app, log, and diagnostic information needed to operate, secure, and improve the service.
• Local device storage. Some information may be stored in your browser or device to keep the app working between sessions, including when you use guest mode.

How We Use Information

• Provide the app’s search, readiness, records, contacts, inventory, and recovery features.
• Save and sync your account data across sessions and devices.
• Show location-based risk information and public-source context tied to searched or saved properties.
• Support account access, troubleshooting, security, fraud prevention, and service improvement.

Public and Third-Party Services

FortressForesight uses third-party services and public data sources to provide core features. Depending on the feature you use, information such as addresses, location context, or uploaded files may be processed by these providers.

• Google Firebase for authentication, database storage, and file storage.
• Google Maps and geocoding services for address and map features.
• Public risk and alert sources such as NOAA, FEMA, USGS, and USFS.
• Google Play for billing and subscription purchases in the Android app, if and when that purchase option is enabled.

How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with service providers and infrastructure partners that help us operate the app, process account services, host data, or provide public risk and alert features. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights or safety, or in connection with a business transfer.

Your Choices

• You can use parts of FortressForesight in guest mode without signing in.
• You can sign out of your account at any time.
• You can delete saved items within the app where those controls are available.
• You can delete your account from the sign-in page. Some limited backup or technical records may remain for a short period.

Data Retention

We keep information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain your account, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Data stored locally on your device may remain until you clear your browser or app storage.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children’s Privacy

FortressForesight is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version here and revise the effective date.
